To concentrate on the fatness as it were something desirable, when this is a time outside of the goddamn Dark Ages, is nothing short of a disturbing fetishism that has not placing in a healthy, mature male's appetite and standards.
I understand there's some amount of cognitive dissonance going on with people into this, but it doesn't change the fact that it's perverse to take obesity as something beautiful.
Unless you're from a race of hibernating mammals, thinking copious amounts of body fat is wonderful in a mate is utterly inane.
I understandt if someone were massive like 300 lbs and above, but people with a certain amount of body fat who are still able to walk and run (not that fast)should not bostriczied from being called 'beautiful" We were all made different, if we all looked the same the world would be boring.
But what about men?. I don't see the media criticizing men for being fat. Women are always targeted for their looks, I just wish people would learn that theres more to a person then just looks. It's so rare to see beautiful plus sized women on televison.
I understand your facts as far as the media, but think about it. You always see a "NO FAT CHICKS" sign [like the one above] but never a "NO FAT DUDES" sign or symbol? Why, because men [not to sound feminist] don't get ridiculed as much as women do. Say for example the actress who played the leading role in the movie "Precious" Howard Stern ridiciled her for her size, yeah she may be over the limit with her weight, but why teae her about it? I don't see anyone ridiculing John Goodman (he actually lost wieght, have you seen him?LOL) As well as Dan Akroyd. As said from the hit T.v show Family guy :"Fat men aren't fat, only fat women are fat" when I heard that I thought, that is exactly how the world views chubby, thick, fat, obese, and morbitly obese people.
a) the "fat" chick only looks like she has a big butt, b) the bar is going the wrong way c) the breaks are kind of distracting, you could have found a much stealthier way of putting them in d) the spray wasn't that clean, there is too much "underbleed", try a perfect 90 degree angle between you and your project, I've found it helps.
I wont even touch the subject matter you chose to base this on, because frankly I'm betting you say no fat chicks because even they won't touch you....
I don't get it. You have a Statue of Fascism and a Fuck the Norm - but you also have a "No Fat Chicks" - that doesn't make any sense to me. Skinny chicks ARE the norm. Are you going for honest political messages or for sales? I'm not sure I understand what you are going for.
It's only an ironic joke if a fat girl wears it - so I hope you're going to put it on plus size tee shirts.
I can take a joke just fine, when it makes snese as a joke. Your designs contradict each other. I don't think it's funny. It perpetuates an attitude that causes people to suffer. I don't give a flying fig if somebody doesn't like me because I'm fat, eff them, what I do care about is girls who ARE hurt by this attitude and who still suffer the riducle and think they are fat when they aren't.
Please do explain to me how it is a "joke" - are you fat?
hmm, would be nice to think this was a socio-political message but...
You should try masking more tightly to the surface, maybe consider spray-glue or something, it's generally fairly weak, so can be peeled off easily without damage to your stencil. Might also consider trying to centralise the woman a little more, it's a pretty neat stencil otherwise
